Will of Shahid:

In the Name of God - the Compassionate, the Merciful.
“And say (O Muhammad SAW): My Lord! Let my entry (to the city of Al-Madinah) be good, and likewise my exit (from the city of Makkah) be good. And grant me your authority to help me (or a firm sign or a proof).”(1) (Isra Sura, verse 80)
“My God, I have shortcomings. As the curtains of darkness covered my soul, my mind was lost in passion. Passion washed over me. My worship is little, my disobedience is much, and I confess to the sins of my tongue. What is my choice? Oh, coverer of defects, knower of the unseen and remover of sorrows, forgive me so I can honour Muhammad [PBUH] and the family of Muhammad [PBUH]…”7 (A religious prayer)
Oh my God! I live in moments when you are my peace of mind. Oh my God! Testify for what I have entrusted to you and my confession to my sins and mistakes. Oh my God! I confess that I could not create sincerity in my behaviour and acts. I could not reconcile myself to your patterns in the course of self-improvement and I must say finally that, my tongue is disappointed to say and my pen to write! So, what to do? Is not disappointment a big sin? Can’t I hope for your mercy and forgiveness? And if I couldn’t, my flesh would be dried and my tongue would be silent.
I say my last words while I confess unity of Allah and Vilayet of the Holy Prophet of Islam [PBUH] and the oppressed Imam Ali [PBUH], and what I speak and write is in perfect health.
With thousands of Salavats8 (An Islamic expression to pray for Mohammad [PBUH] the Prophet and his great family) and greeting to the Holy presence of Imam Asr [Imam Mahdi [PBUH]] and with best wishes to meet Him and for His health and for his just successor, Imam Khomeini, and with best wishes for mercy and forgiveness for all martyrs of Islam from the time of appearance of Islam until now, I write some sentences as my will:
First of all, I ask all audiences to forgive this sinful humble for anything they have heard or seen from me, and I ask the Great Allah to give his mercy to me, maybe we are blessed.
I want you to remember God in all moments and never forget to pray to Him. Follow the Holy Quran and Great Imams.
Never neglect the Supreme Leader even for a moment. Otherwise, a terrible fate will wait for you. Follow the conscious clergymen and beware not to be cheated by others.
Fear God and compromise each other. Allah supports the pious.
Never be proud of your own power, above which the power of God prevails; because such pride humiliates the nation.
At last, I entrust you to God, may God support you!
Dear father! Dear and sympathetic mother! Forgive me. I am indebted to you. I hope I did not offend you. Islam belongs to all of us and I am required to come to war fronts to fulfil my claims to Islam and Muslims. I understand your compassionate feelings my dear mother! The only advice from me is never forget God and be happy only to pray to Him. Dear mother! Walk proudly because martyrdom is an honour for the friends of God.
Dear father! Never hesitate that our way is the way of truth. You have performed a particle of your faith to Islam, may Allah accept it! Everything we have depends on His mercy. Dear father! I cannot compensate your efforts by my tongue and pen. I wish I could devote my best essence. Dear father and mother! You were the best parents for me. Be proud of your children who never left war fronts and always supported Islam and insured Islam with their blood.
Dear mother! I wish I could cry when I remembered you but I have a big lump in my throat. I am proud to have such a great mother. Your sincerity has provided a favourable background for the growth of Islam. I hope you will be diligent to perform the divine commandments.
My dear brothers! Create a warm family centre and avoid opacities. Try to train children such that they are worthy of serving Islam. Take care of your prayer. I take this opportunity and ask you to forgive all my bad works.
As my last words: Try to pave your way in the Islamic direction, and there is no more than I previously mentioned.
Excuse me for my rush in writing and alterations.
“Peace be upon you and Allah’s mercy and blessing”.

Will of Shahid:

In the Name of Allah - the Compassionate, the Merciful
This afternoon, I was notified that I was accepted in the Imam Sadiq (A) University. I am between two evening prayers, writing with tearful eyes. I think of the Shahids, those great people who ignored the world and worldly things, who left everyone and joined their beloved Lord; those who went and we who stayed. Oh Lord! What to do? How do I shoulder the responsibility of these Shahids?
How well you have said in the Holy Quran that, “The Great Lord left this responsibility to the mountains, the mountains were torn into bits. Nobody was capable of accepting such responsibility but humans”. I am frightened my God. My dear Moula, I swear to the honour of Holy Prophet [PBUH], to the pure blood of Shahids and the Holy Blood of Imam Hossein [PBUH] that I am frightened! I shudder with fear by the thought of being attracted to mundane manifestations. Then, I will be helpless; I am helpless now, but I will be abject forever.
I am writing at 10:15 on Wednesday, January 7, beside an embankment in the area of battalion. I left the lubrication of weapons. I made my ablution and got ready for writing. We are ready to dispatch to the military operation area. I had decided to never laugh after the martyrdom of Safaei and Behdad. I had asked the Great Lord to not show me the joys of this world and never make me happy unless I meet him. But, I let go off my decision today and I am kidding with the other brothers right now. I am really happy and in a good mood, because I am preparing myself to join the other Shahids. I do not know what will happen but I feel that cheerful moment of meeting is near. I ask the Great Lord to grant me the opportunity of resistance, patience and Hossein-like martyrdom.
I wish to fight like Imam Hossein [PBUH] and be martyred like Him. I would like to mention that my brother Jafar Tayefeh and I have not written our wills, either because we did not have enough time and had nothing to say or because we had no merit to write them. Shahids have written all things with their blood in the pages of history of Imam Hossein [PBUH]. Such good writing! Anyone who wants a message or word, may find it with Imam3 (Imam Khomeini, the Great Founder of Islamic Republic of Iran). Authors have written many words and poets have composed many poems and singers have sung many songs. Ah! We are neither authors, poets nor singers. We are deposits that must be returned to our original owner. We have a duty to perform; we have blood to sacrifice for Islam and to create this opportunity for thousands and thousands of followers of Imam Hossein [PBUH]. We have to rise up tomorrow and make any place Karbala and any day Ashoora. We are those servants who must be returned to our Lord and the Great Lord has been gracious to us by making our return the best one, a flight from earth to heaven. So, we do not intend to give a lecture or make poetry.
This field is for practice. This land is for Jihad. Those who write songs about mysticism, love, sincerity, purity and countenance are only bragging. Those who write books and papers and make speeches about stages of elevation and are happy with titles and amusements are much neglected and asleep.
Mysticism, love, sincerity, purity and countenance cannot be found in the ease of the world or through tribunes, seminars and meetings. Oh, seekers of mysticism and claimers of sincerity and purity, and complainers of separation and homesickness! Do not cheat yourselves with these moral appearances and luxuries. Do not be deceived by charms. Come along, if you wish to meet the Great Lord! Come to the land of practice and find whatever you seek. The field is wide open. Mysticism, love, sincerity, purity and countenance cannot be found under nice and warm blankets and furs. The sweet cup of attainment of God cannot be found in tea-drinking feign meetings of ethics and spirituality, and the rust of heart cannot be cleaned by reading written books. Anybody who seeks virtue must come to the battlefield and try his faith and piety under the fire of hot mortar-shells and bullets which target human breast to test his power. Those who seek sincerity must follow devoted ones and take advantage of their harvest, and those who claim countenance and attainment must wreck steps toward devotees and see how easily they leave the interests of moral world, how easily they follow the right way, much easier than lectures and speeches! Those who sorrow for Imam Vali-Asr [PBUH] and seek Him must come and see the sociable gatherings of these Basijis with Imam every night. Quran-Preservers must come to see the incarnate Quran in the Allahu-Akbar4 (Allah is the Greatest) shouts of soldiers at the last moment, and ascetics and sufis must come to this land for greeting these elders. What I have said and what I meant to say. Oh my God! Look where my words are. I was talking about the testaments of me and my brother Jafar Tayefeh, about our shrouding and burial: first of all, if our bodies were lost, I ask my parents not to feel discomfort and sadness because this was and is our final wish and be sure that our Mother, Fatemeh Zahra5 (Daughter of the Prophet Muhammad [PBUH]), and Imam Mahdi [PBUH] take care of us. Second of all, if you found our bodies, nobody is allowed to pray for us but Haj-Agha Allahyarlou.
Third of all, bury us beside our brothers in the cemetery of Martyrs of Khoy. Fourth of all, our honouring ceremony should not be held in any mosque but Aminollah Mosque, the mosque which was built by Haj-Agha Amini by spending a hard life and lawful monies with his pure intention for elevation.
I, Mahdi Amini, have about 3000 Tumans deposited in Maskan Bank, Tehran Central Branch - the bank book of which is at the University. Count its Khoms (one-fifth) and pay to the account of Imam. Jafar Sadiq also has 6000 Tumans in Maskan Bank, Khoy Branch. Count its Khoms too and give the rest to his parents. I, Mahdi Amini, have 1 month of my mandatory fasting left, 14 days of which are for my brother Abbas Mokhtarkhani for whom I had vowed. If he is healthy, he will take his own fast and forgive me that I could not take his fast due to sickness. Otherwise, you please perform it. Brother Jafar has also lapsed three months of fasting that my dear family may compensate.
My notebook, other manuscripts and a small book at the University are parts of this will.
Mahdi Amini – Jafar Tayefeh, January 7, 1987

Mohammad Hamedi

A Chronology of the Shahid's Life

Name: Mohammad Hamedi
January 6, 1968: Born in Qazvin
1985: Attended university entrance exam
1985: Passed Imam Sadiq (A) University’s entrance exam in Islamic Science and Promotion
February 24, 1987: Testacy
April 7, 1987: Martyrdom in Shalamcheh region, Karbala 8 military operation
October 1997: Discovery of Holy body of Shahid and burial in the cemetery of Shahids in Qazvin

Will of Shahid:

“I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.”
“In the Name of Allah - the Compassionate, the Merciful.”
“Say, [O Muhammad], if your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your relatives, the wealth that you have obtained, commerce wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are more beloved to you than Allah and His Messenger and Jihad in His cause, then wait until Allah executes His command. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people. ”(2) (Tauba Sura, verse: 24)
I testify that Allah is the creator of the entire world, and Mohammad [PBUH] is His Prophet and servant, and Imam Ali [PBUH] and His 11 generations are successors of Allah, and Imam Mahdi [PBHU] is the twelfth Imam who will fill the world with justice.
As it is understood from the above-mentioned verse, Jihad is mandatory for everybody and our parents must not stop us from participating. We must not be afraid of deduction of property and science and knowledge, and must participate in this important cause. We must believe in the verse: “We do not have control over our profit and loss, life and death and our resurrection”.
We must know that we own nothing. Everything belongs to Allah and everything will return toward Him. This return is out of our control: “Everything returns to Allah”(3) (Anfal Sura, verse 44).
So, never leave our revolution alone and never let Great Khomeini – the son of Zahra – remain helpless under the pretext of studying and not allowing of parents and brothers, because his companions are companions of Imam Mahdi [PBUH] and Imam Hossein [PBUH] and Muslim-ibn-Aghil [PBUH].
Let’s keep Islam alive with his help and follow him to be prosperous in both this world and afterlife. All of us will die, because we are a part of God and inevitably must return toward Him. So, we must act as He wants in order to die pure and innocent as we were born. To die innocently, we must follow orders of Quran and Hadith and avoid wasting our time by making lewd remarks.
Let’s think about ourselves and our world and afterlife and death and grave and worlds ahead. What is the goal of creating the sky and earth and other creatures? Does human suppose Allah has created human and other creatures to be futile and useless? What a mistake! No!
Great Lord has created everything for human, and human for himself to see His manifestation in him. In fact, human is like a mirror to reflect the attributes of God, but have we manifested the attributes of God? What are the obstacles in doing so? Why have we not reached the goal of our creation? Why are we deceived by Satan? What happened to us? What happened to us that made us unaware of God and ourselves?
When creating human, God asked angels to prostrate human. So, all angels prostrated but Satan, this expelled devil. So as angels prostrated us, let’s save our heavenly state to be prostrated by angles every day and hour and moment, and to be welcomed by them; to be said: This is the Heaven, your position. At the beginning of creation, Great Lord blew His soul into the human body and said, “and breathed into him of my [created] soul”(4) (Al-Hijr Sura, verse: 29). Let’s not change this divine soul into the devil’s soul by committing evil deeds such as lying, swearing and hypocrisy; in which case, we will oppress ourselves and our God, and not be a good trustee because God has entrusted His soul to us.
The entire world is in movement to reach human to perfection, to divine revelation. Human can take attributes of God and make all of them permanent in his essence. It is a pity for humans to follow concupiscence and not dominate this passion and leave its halter and follow the devil in any direction. Never let this condition take over your entire existence. Try to control it steadily and move it toward God’s satisfaction, and do not be afraid of anything because Allah supports believers.
Dears! We can see the essence of the world with our heart. We can see our Allah with our heart, so step on your concupiscence and move toward God.

“Oh Lord! Release me from me,
Build up my conscience with your love,
Open my eyes to your face,
Make me happy to meet you,
Tear my drunken heart of selfless,
Build up my body after tearing down,
How long may a human be captured by himself?
Oh Lord! Release my heart,
Oh my heart! Be burnt, your compassion makes many things,
A prayer at midnight removes trials.”

Always have a plaintive heart, a humble heart. God is in plaintive and humble hearts. God is so great that all skies and earth have no capacity to contain Him, but the heart of believers is such a Holy place that God says, “I am in the heart of believers.”
Yes! The humble heart which thinks about nothing but God is the home of God. The heart, in which God lives, is always assured and stable and strong and does not fear anything: “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest”(5) (Sura Ar-Ra’d, verse: 28).
When a container is full of honey, and you fill vinegar in it, it flows down. The heart which is full of remembrance of God is firm and stable and never slips by any wind; concupiscence cannot penetrate in it. Man does not cry for anything but the love and kindness of God, and there is no other love in his heart.

“Not knowing you, the heart will be home of sadness,
If you enter the heart, sadness will be removed,
You will not be forgiven as long as you’re concerned about yourself,
Don’t knock on the door; it won’t be opened for you,
There is not too much distance between you and destination,
Step one in both worlds, the distance is just a step,
If you like to prosper, step twice,
One step in the world and another in heaven,
The love which follow different colours,
Is not love, but disgrace,
For this reason, the love of the dead is not lasting,
Because the dead don’t come toward us.”

The heart will be humble when it accepts God and when it finds the feeling of prayer. In such a case, man is not included in verses 4 and 5 of Ma’un which says: “So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites), who delay their Salat (prayer) from their stated fixed times”.(6) Those who are not humble in their prayer are blamed by God. Those who have humility in their hearts are those who are humble in their prayer and remember God, this prayer is their ascension.
As I said, the purpose of man’s creation is to reach perfection and divine attributes and each stage of perfection has its own stairs. A staircase is required to reach a roof, and humility in prayer is the staircase to reach perfection and divine attributes.
Holy Prophet of Islam says, “Prayer is ascension of believers”. What will be the appearance of our prayers if our prayers are visualized? The Prophet [PBUH] says, “Allah does not accept prayer without presence of heart”. Imams were pale when praying, were anxious and unconscious when praying, why? Because mountain and sky and earth did not accept duty of prayer and said: Oh Lord! We do not tolerate it, but our heart is firmer than a mountain. Our hearts are hard and have forgotten God that they do not melt when we pray. If mountain accepted to pray, it would be melted. Shame on us, shame on us, on our prayers! Oh Allah! I swear to the religious leaders, to Imams - take our hands in the darkness of this world and neglects, and direct us toward light and divinity. “Perform Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance”(7)  (Ta-Ha Sura, verse 14). Have we not said “yes” to this verse of Holy Quran and divine call? So, self-knowledge is the first stage. We must know who we are and where we want to go.

“O thou void of news! Strive that the master of news, thou mayst be:
So long as way-farer thou not, road-guide how thou mayst be?
In the school of truths, before love’s master,
Ho! O son! Strive that, one day father thou mayst be,
From the copper of thy existence, like men of the path, thy hand wash,
So that love’s alchemy, thou mayst obtain, and gold thou mayst be,
Far from love’s degree, thee, sleeping and eating put,
To love, thou attainest at that time when sleepless and foodless thou shalt be,
When, on thy heart and soul, the light of God’s love falleth,
By God that fairer than the sky’s sun thou shalt be,
A moment, immersed in God’s sea, be; think not,
That, to the extent of a single hair, with the water of seven seas, wet, thou shalt ne,
From head to foot, thine all God’s light shall be,
When footless and headless, in the path of him possessed of majesty, thou shalt be,
If the face of God be the spectacle-place of thy vision,
After this, not a doubt remaineth that the possessor of vision, thou shalt be,
If, below and above, the foundation of thy existence be,
Think not in thy heart that, below and above, thou mayst be,
Hafiz! If in thy head be desire of union,
It is necessary that the dust of the court of Him possessed of vision, thou shouldest be.”
