History of the cooperation between Iran and India is perhaps one of the oldest in the history of international relation in the world. The two nations have rich and old cultures and have been in Contact with each other since the Vedic and Iranian people had established their earliest settlements respectively in the Indus Valley River and the Iranian Plateau. As a matter of fact, the earliest relations between the two nations, if we roughly assume each group or groups of people are a nation, were in the form of economic relations in the form of trade.
